Indian Companies to Announce Q4 Results Today
It's that time of the year when companies gear up to announce their Q4 results, giving investors a glimpse into their performance in the past quarter. Today, on May 20, several major Indian companies are set to reveal their earnings for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24. ONGC
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), one of the leading oil and gas companies in India, is scheduled to declare its Q4 results today. In the previous quarter, ONGC reported a decline in net profit of around 10 percent year-over-year (YoY), amounting to ₹10,356 crore in Q3 FY24. The company's revenue from operations in Q4FY24 also saw a decrease of 2.2 percent YoY, totaling ₹1,65,569 crore.
IRFC
The Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) will also be announcing its fourth-quarter results today. In Q3 FY24, the Railway PSU witnessed a 1.7% YoY decline in net profit, amounting to ₹1,604 crore. However, its revenue showed a positive growth of 8% YoY, reaching ₹6,742 crore in the same period.
Bharat Electronics
Bharat Electronics (BEL), a prominent aerospace and defense electronics firm, recorded a remarkable 40% YoY rise in net profit to ₹859.6 crore in the third quarter of FY 24. The company's revenue stood at ₹4,162.2 crore during the same period. BEL's stock has shown significant growth, providing substantial returns to its investors in recent years.
SAIL
Steel Authority of India (SAIL), a leading steel manufacturer, is set to disclose its Q4 earnings for FY 24 today. In the last quarter, SAIL reported a significant 22% decline in its consolidated net profit, amounting to ₹422 crore. The company's total income also saw a decrease to ₹23,492.33 crore, compared to ₹25,140.16 crore in the corresponding period the previous year.
With the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed today due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the impact of these Q4 results on the stock prices of these companies will be closely watched when trading resumes on Tuesday.
